The Simplest Way I Have Found to Get Into Moderately Good Shape
This is the best way I have found to get into moderately good shape.
Breakfast
- 1 scoop of protein powder
- 1 cup of milk
- Mixed into coffee
Lunch
- 1/2 pound of lean meat
- 1/2 bag of frozen vegetables
- 1 serving of your favorite sauce
Dinner
- 1/2 pound of lean meat
- 1/2 bag of frozen vegetables
- 1 serving of your favorite sauce
(Dinner nowadays with my girlfriend is usually a little less boy-ish than this, as we like to eat healthy while still making great meals. It's almost always some combination of a protein, a carb, and vegetables. I've been trying to improve my portion control here.)
Dessert
Ninja Creami with:
- 1 scoop of protein powder
- 1 cup of fat-free Fairlife
- 2 cookies
Exercise
- Bike or walk anywhere within a 3-mile radius
- CrossFit 4–5x per week
That's pretty much it.
It's not the most glamorous plan, and it's certainly not the most optimized. But it's simple, sustainable, and I feel pretty good when I stick with it for an extended period of time.
For someone who just wants to be reasonably lean, reasonably strong, and healthy while still enjoying life, I think it's pretty hard to beat.
