Make It Feel Human
SaveOnTrading is moving along. It’s making some money month over month. And I’m proud of the mission with helping traders and investors get the best possible prices on tools they are probably going to buy anyways. We don't want them to just get a deal, but to get the very BEST deal!
But I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what I actually want this to feel like.
I don’t exactly want it to feel like just another discount site.
I want it to feel like a friend texting you:
"Hey, before you pay full price, use this code instead."
That means being incredibly thoughtful.
Not just tossing up product pages to try to rank for SEO (which is incredibly tough nowadays). But writing things that are actually helpful. That sounds like a real person, not a bot.
It means thinking through every touchpoint:
That marketing email? It should feel like something I’d send to a friend. Direct, honest, with zero fluff.
The code boxes? They should feel clean and frictionless. Like, “Oh yeah, of course I’ll press and use this.”
Meta descriptions? They matter. The code should be right there. Bold. No guessing.
Trader write-ups? They shouldn’t be generic blurbs. They should be useful breakdowns of who’s worth following and why.
Site speed? It should fly. No lag. No bloat. Just quick access to what matters.
And most of all, it means never forgetting why I’m doing this.
Because I know how annoying it is to find out you could’ve saved 40% if someone had just told you five minutes earlier.
I want SaveOnTrading to be that five-minute heads-up.
And doing things the right way with being slow, thoughtful, and built to last usually ends up being the shortcut anyway.
